Q: Does it Run on Batteries and For How Long?

A: Batteries are needed for the smart functions to operate. Use any standard double AA batteries that will last for over a month. Save on high electricity usage with this design and with its long battery life, you don’t have to worry about changing it often. 

Q: How Do I Leave the Lid Opened? 

A: Being able to automatically leave the lid open allows you to dispose of big quantities of waste. The smart trash has a black sensor function close to the mouth of the lid that when pressed will toggle between two modes. Pressing it once will show a blue indicator meaning that the lid will stay opened. Holding it down and waiting for 3 flashes then turning red means the function is turned off and lid will automatically close.

Q: How Do Clean the Smart Bin?

A: Regularly cleaning the inside of the bin will prevent the spread of bacteria and moulding. To clean the inside of the bin, simply lift the inside container to separate the case and the cartridge and thoroughly wipe with alcohol and/or antiseptic wipes.
